Dr. Weber is the Director of the Women's Sports Medicine and Primary Care Sports Medicine at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Weber serves as the team physician for the Chicago Bulls, Chicago White Sox, DePaul University, and the world renowned Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. She is also a team physician for US Soccer, USA Triathlon and for several professional male and female athletes. Dr. Weber is a former college athlete and competitive runner, most notably qualifying for and running a number of times in the Boston Marathon. She serves on the board of Girls in the Game, a non-for-profit, focused on enhancing the lives of girls through sports, health and leadership activities. Her interest in sports medicine is enhanced by her own involvement in a variety of sports and fitness activities.
Dr. Weber received her M.D. from Rush Medical College and completed her residency in internal medicine at Rush University Medical Center. After completing her residency, Dr. Weber was asked to remain at Rush for an additional year to assume the prestigious position of Chief Resident of Internal Medicine. Subsequently, she completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of California - San Diego. In addition to holding a Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology and being the recipient of numerous awards for excellence in patient care and teaching, Dr. Weber is an active researcher. She has authored or coauthored numerous articles and book chapters. In addition, Dr. Weber is a frequent speaker at local, regional, and national conferences about sports related topics. She is a member of the editorial board of Women's Health in Orthopaedics.
