"Moji at the Ironman Recovery Lounge" |
For Immediate Release
Chicago, IL, Agusut 1, 2011 – Mojii®, an innovative Chicago-based company, will celebrate its hometown roots and dedication to Chicago’s endurance community by launching its latest line at the 3rd annual XSport® Fitness Rock ‘n’ Roll Chicago Half Marathon benefitting the American Cancer Society®.
The 25,000-person race serves as the perfect venue for the launch of Moji 360™, the brand’s latest suite of innovative products. The products feature dynamic massage technology and Moji’s signature superior user interface. The half marathon is for Moji, a chance to honor the place where it all began.
Moji’s Chicago locale is unique for an athletic brand. Though the majority of the industry is based out West, Moji insists that Chicago is a fantastic place to grow such a company. Founder Victor Viner states, “Moji is all about keeping people active. Whether it’s a triathlon or a 10K, there are endless possibilities for pursuing your athletic goals in and around Chicago. The city’s strong athletic community, history of building great brands and appreciate for science-based innovation make it the perfect hub for Moji.”
Viner founded the company in 2007 with a goal of promoting proper warm up and recovery for athletes. The company’s first product, Moji Knee, a cold compression wrap, was designed to make icing more convenient and ultimately keep people active and pain-free. The company has since expanded to include a suite of cold compression and heat therapy products. Now, with the Moji 360 launch, the company is poised to enter new territory.
Massage is growing in popularity among athletes as awareness spreads about its performance-enhancing benefits. Moji 360 takes sports massage to the next level with omni-directional stainless steel spheres that mimic a professional massage therapist’s strokes. It’s an exciting addition to Moji’s premium line of warm up and recovery products and carries huge breakthrough potential for the fast-growing Chicago company. Wendy Jaehn, Executive Director of the Chicago Area Runners’ Association (CARA) agrees, “CARA has always promoted a comprehensive training plan that includes icing, heat and massage so little aches and pains do not turn into injuries and prevent attainment of our runners’ goals. Moji’s products have been part of our training programs given their performance and ease of use and we look forward to adding the Moji 360 to the mix.”
Retailers across the country agree as pre-orders for the Moji 360 line have hit from as far away as Alaska. “It’s an exciting time for our company and we’re proud to share it with Chicago,” says Viner.
